Te Awamutu Museum provides a variety of educational experiences at a variety of locations across the Waipa District. Our educational offering caters for school aged students, and is funded by the Ministry of Education and the Waipa District Council.

150 years ago our district was created on the back of some nationally significant events. These education programmes will help your students understand and acknowledge both the good and bad contained within these events, aiding them on their journey of connection and identity with their district this sequential year .

      
Rangiaowhia: Beclouded Sky

This mobile learning programme guides students through Rangiaowhia. Once a Maori agrilcultural centre of great prosperity, wealth and fortune, events 150 years ago events transformed Rangiaowhia to a site of tragedy, loss and pain.
